MonoCast modular signal and sign support system

MonoCast is a modular signal and sign support system made with cast steel components. Coupled with IoT technology capabilities, it is designed to vastly improve the performance and aesthetics of roadways.

Innovative Design

The innovation in the MonoCast system comes from the use of a standard library of cast-steel alloy nodes and slid-on friction connections for mast arm and luminaire arms.

 

The cast steel alloy nodes smooth the stress paths from the horizontal arms to vertical poles thereby eliminating the fatigue-sensitive detail categories found in current design and fabrication practice for these structures. The slip-on connection facilitates faster erection as there are no high-strength bolts to pre-tension in the connections from mast and luminaire arms to poles. The innovative design results in inspection-free systems.

 

A Library of 6 Cast Nodes

A library of six cast nodes are part of the MonoCast system used with new structural systems. 

There is also a cast-node in the MonoCast library for retrofits of existing monotube signal and sign support structures. For more information, contact us.

MonoCast is an all new modular signal and sign support system made with cast steel components. Coupled with IoT technology capabilities, it is designed to vastly improve the performance, profitability and aesthetics of roadways.

    MonoCast features:


  • A shop-made full-penetration weld is made
    at pole to node connections.

  • Hand-hole access location is also provided
    in the cast alloy steel node.

  • Arms are simply slipped onto the cast
    node in the field and snug-tightened
    through bolts are used.
